Performance Issues

Howdy folks, So my fiancee has my old gaming laptop (GTX 1060 6GB, Intel I5 Quad Core, and 16 GB DDR4 RAM) and she cant seem to run the game at all. I thought these were above recommended system requirements but I can't seem to find a fix at all. Any one got any ideas?

I used to play COD Warzone on it and average about 60-80 FPS, she never played this game before though. I would assume if I could play Warzone I'd be able to play GTFO easily.

GTFO is not well optimized. Has she tried med-low settings?

Yeah we tried that, tried turning everything down to the lowest. but thats true maybe its just the optomization of the game.

The game is actually very well optimized, I played it on GTX 550 Ti OC)) While using a decent CPU though.

Thats wierd, I get consistent 45-50 fps in warzone but 60 in gtfo

Extremely choppy, very low FPS no sane person would be able to play the game I'd say it runs at around 10 FPS. Still havent found a fix for it. However the game doesn't crash or anything its just the very low frames thats the problem.

In regards to min reqs it depends on your particular CPU. What is the model number? The min reqs for a CPU is Intel Core i5 2500K, which is quite a bit faster than mobile quad-cores from 2018, which based on the GPU I am guessing your CPU is from.

The official discord has a technical support channel where there are people who also might be able to help you with this problem if there is an issue other than just a very slow CPU.

I7 6700HQ I was wrong its not an I5 is an I7. I tried using the discord but still no luck.

So I am see someone in the tech-support channel who says they are on a laptop with an I7 6700HQ and having performance issues, but they do not say they have a GTX 1060 6GB like in your OP. They say the are using Intel(R) HD Graphics 520. Just looking at benchmarks, that is way below the min req of a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 2 GB. The 660 benchmarks about 400% higher. I'm sorry I doubt that laptop can run this game at a reasonable frame rate.

The 1060 should be more than powerful enough.

Thats my problem, I have an I7 6700HQ (My name is just TacoCat on Discord) and the 1060 which is why im hella confused, maybe the card is just going out?

If this will help the CPU runs at about 20-40% but for some reason my 1060 will only go to about 10%

Yeah, I just found that conversation in pc-build-help-and-tech-talk. I am as confused as you are. Is something running in the background and eating up all the resources?
