I'm pretty sure Simon addressed this a while ago.
Remember, they're only like 9 guys working on this. :/
Your game looks really cool and fun probably in the future I will get it I wish you success, greetings from Uruguay.
And if Steam's matchmaking servers go down, we'll have bigger problems than GTFO.
On the downside, this also means no host migration and possible lag/disconnection issues.
As long as you allow LAN play and running multiple save profiles in two conccurent instances, I'll settle for the hack over nothing.
Example:
Yup that is the best solution for PC "split couch coop". Split screen is a console feature, PC you can just ran more than one executable and still play on a single computer.
Path of Exiles also allow a maximum of 2 executables at the same time for exemple. Get a double screen setup and there we go.
Soo Gian and all other looking for split screen. You kinda got it on PC.
True, you also need external program to run 2 mouses, 2 keyboard, and they have to work on separate instance of game. It is possible, but you need some work and research to get this working. PC isn't really made for split screen, Console is. Yet GTFO is a PC game atm. Maybe once we all have a blast playing this game on PC, devs make a console version with an integrated split screen.
Just curious where this myth started? Just as all squares are rectangles, all PCs are consoles.
There's nothing preventing splitscreen gaming on Steam machine variants; and honestly,
as Gearbox have shown with BL2, getting 60fps is not a problem here.
Devs could easily build to a broader recommended spec, while stating that certain features such as split-screen have a minimum required spec to function - Everyone wins.
