What are your loadouts for your expeditions?
My friends and I have found that using the pistol and combat shotgun were a great combination, but that's what works for us. We run a 3-man expedition currently with 2x Burst Sentries and 1x Bio Tracker.

What do you guys use and find comfortable?

bio is fundamental, burst sentries, maybe a foamlauncher.
for the weapons it depend on your stile.. I love the assault rifle, super precise if you aimdown and the pistol or shotguns.. shotguns are good in ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥..

The bioscanner is way too useful not to have, especially in those dark rooms. I feel like the MG needs a buff as well, either the wind-up needs to be removed or there needs to be a bigger ammo capacity in-mag with maybe 1-2 full reloads on the side (50/100 or 75/75 or something like that).

When we run 4 we don't take a bio scanner, Usually we just play it safe and slow and go off sound ques (More atmospheric and intense!). We usually run 3 shotgun turrets and a foam launcher, or burst turret, Works great so far. As for Weapons I personally i use the assault rifle as you can head tap with in 1 or 2 shots and spray when you need to, I go with the MG as rounds are powerful and usually kill most small enemy's with 1 to 2 body shots, Good for when you got a huge wave coming and just need to cut them down quick, And i take one of the three shotgun turrets, but yeah that's what i use for load out. The best load out is a good mission plan though.

We don't ever take bio unless it's D1. It's a crutch for good situational awareness that takes up a slot which could be used for another tool. You can hear the scout from a mile away when you open a door to the room it's in, and dark rooms are fine with glowsticks and flashlight flicks.

Hey, a crutch is still a useful tool, that's why the exist; it's just that you shouldn't need it if everything is working like it should. If you have a broken leg, a crutch is a great thing; if you're totally fine, a firearm lets you accomplish far more.

The biotracker mainly shines when you're fighting a swarm in a large, dark room. Or if it's foggy. This, however, doesn't outweigh the benefits of the other, better tools, which is why we never take them unless hamfistedly forced to do so.

I've gotten really good at the Pistol/Revolver w/ a Sentry Turret. We use one guy with a tracker, and the other three have turrets. My friends swear by the SMG, and I'm cool with that but I'm always the guy with ammo left over haha

Bioscanner is a nice to have but not necessary. Good attention to audio and you don't really need it.

Sentry turrets and foam launcher are extremely good for when you need to deal with alarm doors or even for hasty defense.

SMG + revolver or + sniper is really good. SMG gives good ammo and close in shooting and the revolver/sniper is good for high damage marksman's guns. Sniper is more for scout elimination though. So revolver is the more versatile choice.

IMO, though, the guns need a bit of work to warrant why you would pick one over the other.

Bio scanner is not necessary when you explore rooms/stealth kill but it's helpful. Bio scanner is quite essential for some alarm door/defensing event, especially when you have to fight in the dark or you have to fight the enemies in D1 and Bio scanner is the savior.

About weapon choices, I used pistol/revolver until C2, they're easy to use with sufficient fire power. However after struggling in the C2 for a while, I switched to SMG/machine gun since these two weapons have the highest potential to kill the most enemies based on their magazine size times fire power, especially when defending the final alarm door in C2, machine gun helps a lot. You need to tap fire most of the time using these 2 weapons, yeah, tap fire even when using machine gun is important.

Other than one bio tracker, shotgun sentry is our default tool, mine is useful but situational, if we learned that we need to defense a door that we can seal with c-foam, mine is great. Also it's an option to stealth kill the scout. Burst sentry is probably the same but we feel shotgun sentry preserves more ammo. C-foam is very helpful when defending alarms & stealth kill scouts, however often we can find c-foam grenade to do the job.

How does one stealth kill with c-foam? And how exactly do the scouts work? Still new, hard to find info.

Scouts can be instantly killed a number of ways, which you want to attempt, because if you don't kill it with your first attack, it turns invincible and calls a horde. You can instakill it with a sniper shot to the head, a pump shotgun blast to the head, a mine, or a full hammer charge to the head. Killing it with a gun will alert the room, but it's preferable to having it spawn two waves of new enemies.

Foamed enemies freeze for a few moments. Foaming the scout will keep it in place, allowing you to sneak up to it without alerting anything else, while you're charging up your melee and lining up your shot. You don't need to foam the scout to kill it with melee, it just makes it less risky.
