10 Chambers will keep focusing on making GTFO the best four player coop experience there is. If you are six people who want to play at the same time, I suggest you divide into two teams of three.
Yes I understand there are numerous technical and gameplay issues.
But I just want to say that extra player number, even of only one may open another huge layer of amusement to some people. (like when a bunch of MOBA dudes want to switch to coop FPS and feel unfortunate that most games of the genre fail to contain their whole team)
Anyway yes please do focus on making GTFO the best four player HARDCORE coop game.
I will buy the game with the current setting.
Perhaps just consider it as one of the last few things you plan on future patches? Just my wish :P
it's almost as if developers have to mimic designs from other games.
Also, much harder to balance. (Do you have 6 unique classes? 4? 3? Which do you double up on? Or, if all 6 are balanced, which are "required"?)
And yeah, sebo, developers do have to mimic designs from other games ;-)
People don't want something entirely new; they want something familiar with a little bit of new. And what element(s) should be new is entirely a matter of personal taste. GTFO is inventing in a lot of other areas, so we chose to go with the existing four player co-op "standard".
We believe most of our target audience have already joined up in teams of four - and adding more player slots would be a case of diminishing returns.
