Usually love these clean up organizing games. I found this one so hard to play. To start, it was super buggy. Click to pick up a movie? Doesn't work. Click again, fine. Click to place on the shelf? Doesn't work. Click again? Fine. Click to activate a skill? Like 50-50 chance of working. Then there were the items to sort. Half of them were super blurry, even on the highest settings on a high def monitor. The ones you could read, it was nearly impossible to figure out the genre for. And there was a total lack of variety that make no sense to me. TV shows having seasons and multiple parts/discs? Sure, absolutely. But then there are like half a dozen sports sections, huge game show and talk show sections, very few actual movies? And for movies, I'd expect them to be varied - I'm thinking like that video store simulator game where you have sections and have a lot of different movies, but maybe only one or a few copies of each and you can see each title on the display facing in a way you can see the whole cover vs. just the spine, or stack a few or something this way. But everything was shelved like a book and everything had ten parts even when it was something that didn't make sense whatsoever, like movies having ten parts. Half the enjoyment I expected for this one in particular given the theme was me hoping to see some funny titles or nostalgic references of parodies of popular media and while there were a few, most of them definitely were not in any way. So much potential, but overall the choices weren't fun or entertaining and the gameplay was clunky.

One of the weaker clean up games. AI art and uncreative titles made me dread playing. The map is just a box :/

The use of AI is a massive reason for not enjoying this game, but not the only one. I found this game incredibly frustrating, finicky and unsatisfying, which is the opposite of what these types of games are meant to do. I found myself referencing the map more than actually placing VHSs. There is an upgrade later on to somewhat help but it made the first half or so of the game a pain.

This as well as the use of absolutely terrible lazy AI made this game a huge disappointment which is a real shame because I mostly enjoyed another game by these devs called Paver.

If I had not already started and gotten achievements I would have refunded this game, and I will be refunding the mall game they made right after I finish this review. I can not and will not support janky games that use AI.
