How does Lord of Death work with his percentages?
So if he's worth, say, 5% increased gain of BMs, and I have an MVP that gives me 7, then it's 0.35 of a BM. Does that round up, so he always grants at least 1 extra BM, round down if it's not a whole number, or does it round up if it's above 0.5 of a BM?

I believe most cards round up. But I can't say with 100% certainty.

why does it matter tho, you have to level lord of death regardless?

Because if I'm at a stage where monsters are only dropping up to 30 BMs, then each BM is valuable, moreso than at later stages.

Therefore if I spend say, 20BMs (arbitrarily) and he goes from 5% increase to 9%, and I can get 9.8% for another 6BMs, it's worth knowing if those 6BMs are better spend elsewhere until I can push him over the 10% point because it rounds down, and I still only end up with 9% more manuals.

Lord of death is always the best option. Your example made no sense because that's assuming you get one chance of manuals dropping. Overall, every drop gets boosted, and if you can't get manual drops, you couldn't upgrade or get Lord of Death in the first place.

And the effect stacks upwards with every ascension you do subsequently. It should be the preferred method of getting manuals since zoning up takes more time, so you get less manuals than if you were to zone up less and get the same amount.

Anyway, without doing mathz, I'm just telling you from expericence, Lord of Death is always the best option. It's the one card besides dark lord that never loses effectiveness and is good at any point in time, even when you start out.
