I accidentlly overwrote the wrong park, can I get the old save file back?
For a little context:

Last night, on my windows desktop pc I was playing a little planet coaster as normal. I saved my main park and went to bed. This afternoon, I decided to install planet coaster on my macbook pro. I started a new map just so I could play around with some rides. When I went to go save my creation, I accidentally saved and overwrote my newly created map to my main map ive had for a while. I haven't played planet coaster on my laptop or my gaming pc since then.

Is there a way I could possibly find the old save file internally on my gaming pc? I've spent MONTHS on this map and I feel like dying because all my progress is gone :(

Only if it's in one of the Auto Saves. I would check there, otherwise, no sorry there isn't another way.

If you have a big project, and to prevent this from happening again, have multiple saves. You can save them as "Park 1" , "Park 2" etc. That way you always have a file handy.

I feel your pain. I had a similar situation while playing the sims 4. The only difference was that the actual game was making all of my save files unplayable. They would save and then crash upon loading or just not work. Hours of game play because of a game bug related to saves. Needless to say, I didn't leave a very good review. Also I try to stay away from EA games at all costs at this point.

Sorry, I don't have a solution for you, your situation just really hit to home for me.

This post is super late and not helpful and I'm sorry. I just had to say I'm sorry. Nothing kills a game like save errors and the like. If you were on mac, I'd recommend time machine if you were using it... but who uses mac and who uses time machine? Otherwise, maybe an old cloud save from steam... but again, very late post and that's probably out of the question at this point. Plus a lot of people turn that feature off as it causes problems with many games. I myself just recently turned it off to make cyberpunk playable again. Again, I'm sorry. This mistake will more than likely, if not already have, lead you towards the over compulsive path of excessive saving. A path that may lead towards investments into larger memory storage.
