It depends on what your looking for, park beyond is a much more sort of "silly" game where you can make some really fun stuff but would no way work in real life, planet coaster is a lot more focused on a park that would work in real life. I also prefer the actual mechanics and game play of planet coaster

I've heard that Park Beyond has an option where you can switch to Cartoon Physics. As in, you can remove parts of the track, but the trains will just continue as if the track was still there, and it works so long as nobody looks down.

Not my thing personally. I get enough cartoon physics of one sort or another in real life.

Park Beyond is more recent and better optimized, it has a wacky touch without going into cartoon graphism. It has a scenarised campaign.

But it terms of simulation or management it's not on par with Planet Coaster, and the mods community is not nearly as big yet.

I gave up on Park Beyond after giving it several attempts over 9 months or so. It looks nice but well. creating own assets from existing bits is a pain. campaign was buggy and ran into "instructions unclear" a couple times. The over the top rides was a nice idea, but even now they only have like 3 or 4 different rollercoaster types. It's also basically impossible to stay in the black financially in it. Between guests all charging to a new ride when you put it down, small max guest numbers per "park level", them taking forever to leave and "guests will only use a ride once" you make money the first 30-40 mins of the park opening and then have to close or demolish rides to keep up.

Planet coaster controls a bit harder to use, same control scheme as their planet zoo and jurrasic park games, but isnt that hard to get used to. But other then that feels like a spiritual successor to rollercoaster tycoon with what ive played so far.
