Opinions on Planet Coaster 2?
I'm considering buying planet coaster 2. Should I buy it or not?

I find that unless you have a reason for buying the game right now, like it's an online game that all your friends are playing and you want to play with them, then it is better to wait some time. They will fix bugs and add more content / DLC's that you can buy later in a package discount.

a product that isnt MP should be ready on launch or have the EA tag. this trend of we promise then will deliver 4 years after launch has to stop..

I am sticking to PC 1 granted I only started playing this year but bought it with a lot of the dlc on sale in the past. I have little desire for water parks as is and it is unfortunate to hear about the state of PC 2. Atruin is right. It is not fair to wait multiple years for every game post launch now. Some exceptions can be made but PC 2 is not one of them.

Contrary to others, I say don’t wait. Just get in and start building things, learn the new pathing system and just have fun with it.

Are their bugs? Sure. But plenty of fun can still be had just building and theming stuff that just was not possible in the first game. When people say they ate going back to the first game it puzzles me as I find it inferior in so many ways and something that has not been actively developed for at least 6 years at this point. There’s just not anything new there. Planet Coaster 2, even with its bugs, is a vastly superior game.

After this last update, PC2 is more in line with what we expected. I've built a few parks and am working towards the Career mode. It's a good buy right now.
There's still some issues with the community over the recent DLC (as there should be), but outside of that it's a great game.

Do not get it. (Yet)
It's unfinished, broken and Frontier are treating the fans really badly.

Hold off for 6-12 months, I say.

not unless you have a top notch video card or prepared to spend over $300 aussie dollars for a new one

It's not ready for primetime yet. It's missing basic scenery themes, is still heavily watered down by the simultaneous console release, and apparently has a long way to go in terms of performance. Hold off for now.

PC2 is just a console port of PC1. It has half the rides that default PC1 has (which are in a expensive DLC on launch) and its missing alot of features that PC1 has. The management systems have been dumbed down, and its full of bugs and crashing issues. I played for ONE hour, stuttered like crazy and crashed twice. Reeeeeeefunded!
As of today PC1 had more active players than PC2

If you want more unique track elements, more coaster types, water slides, and ride vehicle decoration, then sure, go for it.

Jesus do not buy PC2.

The first part here was a project of the heart. I even bought all the somewhat overpriced DLC.

The second part, on the other hand, was created without competition and maximum profit, including the console edition. The advantages are roughly speaking the keywords "pools" and "brushes for scenery". Everything else is the same or better in the first part.

I recommend reading the Steam reviews of both parts and/or going to the forums.

Edit: Although it's obvious that people are unhappy there has been a pre-order bonus (rides only for pre-orderers - so artificial content denial for people who are critical) as well as 2 DLCs already.
