Controller Support?

Just wondering if this has any support for an xbox controller? Can i still build and do all the regular stuff? My hands cramp up real bad from using a mouse and keyboard so controller is the only option. And before anyone makes fun of me for wanting controller support, i had a massive house fire and this pc was donated to me so i just stuck with it instead of going out and rebuying a brand new console and games

Game controllers make Planet Zoo screw about and not work. Not sure about the score with Planet Coaster.

Real shame if thats the case. Judging from the playthough vids i have seen of this game on youtube. This might be the greatest game ill never get to play :(

Planet Coaster only supports an Xbox controller on PC for controlling the camera, for smoother camera movement, for example for recording videos. The controller cannot be used for gameplay.

While there is already a separate console version because of the possible performance (still a bad performance with high-rated parks), the requests for controller support have been ignored here at Planet Coaster on the PC since the release.
Now that there is already an existing controller control due to the consoles (it's a very good control system), a patch for it should finally come on the PC. Should...

But well ... due to the lack of controller support on the PC, I instead completed it on the Xbox for € 1 (3 month GP) - and I got more than 1 € back because of the 10k gamerscore event.

The developer is to blame for rejecting the money from all the potential customers. I mean, what have they earned from me? 5 cents or less? It was once possible that I buy the game and all DLCs at full price.
And the longer they wait, the more they lose. Because the next cheaper sale and the next give-away are probably not that far away.

It's hard to find games these days that don't have controller support. People are also no longer interested to spend time to config third party software like joy2key or xpadder. The times of Starcraft and Co are long gone. Seems Frontier didn't really noticed that. Sometimes like this; sometimes like that. (ED, JWE /vs/ Planet Zoo and Coaster)

I will still check the store page again and again to see if it finally received a patch, but well, I've already played through it, so it has lost a lot of its "hype".

Official controller support? No.

Can you play this game with a controller? Absolutely! You can create configurations in Steam or load other people's configurations.

I recently uploaded a PS5 DualSense configuration and playing with it is a lot of fun.
