Player-wise the game is definitely not dead, especially since until Park Studio catches up in development the only modern alternative is No Limits 2 and that's less a game and more professional software used for designing actual coasters for parks. Parkitect is more of an isometric RCT2 spiritual successor and thus not really direct competition, and Theme Park Tycoon is a Roblox game which means it's associated with an online cesspool.

Well Frontier has no interest to make an update or DLC for this game anymore.
The CEO is not interested in this game with the potential it have.
Well after awhile it will die, cause the technic goes forward and one day you cant play it anymore on your PC.
Since a fiew years are romours going around for a release of Planet Coster 2, but it is only a hope of the players.

game is full complete , when u say dead, what do you mean? this isn't a live service game , just like many other simulation game is it complete and people just play it because they like creating theme parks, roller coasters/

the game still has denuvo 7.5 years after release.
i guess the game released in a time in which denuvo still sold lifetime licenses instead of the subscriptions of today.

I see so many people asking if a game is dead because the Dev's aren't constantly updating it. Just because a game is complete, doesn't mean it's dead. The Dev's move on to different games after one is complete.

i was just curious if the players know of somethig the devs might have said via other social media platforms or forum posts.

The game is programmed on an old engine. Performance can no longer be achieved. After a certain size it starts to stutter no matter how good the computer is. The peeps could have been worked on as well as the number of visitors. The project has been scrapped and updates there won't be any more. The hope remains that at some point something will come out that corresponds to Planet Coater 1 and will be a worthy successor. But I don't really believe in it either
