worth it at 95% off without DLC?
as topic said, 95% is definitely very attractive but if we need DLC to enjoy game, that makes it less attractive

Obligatory boilerplate response: IMHO it depends on your interests and what you want in your park. Gotta have a Grand Carousel or there's no point in having a park? The Magnificent Rides DLC. More interested in waterfalls in your parks? Adventure DLC. I'd say the game requires all the DLC (even Munsters, KnightRider, & Back to the Future) for the best (and least frustrating) experience, but I tend to be a completionist -- definitely get 'em on a good sale! If you're fine with the vanilla rides then you don't need DLC that add more rides (Classic Rides DLC), same with shops (World's Fair DLC). But what's fun for you is up to you -- if you want to do everything yourself, maybe make your own 3D content and upload it via the Thememaker's Toolkit (when the server for it's working, and it's a FPS killer), then maybe you don't need DLC content that lets you get the most out of other players' Workshop scenery (that can use the most obscure DLC bits). However, this changes depending on what you're playing on -- Workshop creations for the Windows and Mac versions of the game are not cross-compatible with those from the console versions.

After Fallout 4 Nuka World I've realized no DLC is worth it. :VBCOOL:

Inflation gets the best of us- Asking if a $2 game is worth it.

The base game is worth it, But not the DLC, as i mentioned in another thread. Compare a whole game to the meager DLC content. The pricing does NOT justify the cost. It's clearly a scam, DLC should never cost more than the game itself, ever. DLC should be priced around 90% less than what the base game costs.

I wouldn't recommend this game without the DLC content. The base content of the game is quite limiting.

I played this game without DLC for a long time. If you like building parks and you don't mind that things are a little basic at first, you don't need any DLC. You can still make coasters and have all your standard rides for the most part.
You also have access to a TON of free downloadable content in the toolkit to add little this and thats to your park.

I've just collected the DLCs while they're on sale over time, but you do you.

Don't buy the DLC until you have played the game.

If you feel like you need to buy the DLC, you will.

Don't listen to anyone else, just play it and decide for yourself. If you like the game enough and are creative enough, like me, you'll probably buy them because you want the extra parts. Otherwise there is plenty content in the base game to knock yourself out with to begin with.

I ended up with all the content for this and Planet Zoo but I didn't do it all at once, I got it over time when I was able to drip in some spare cash here and there. I'm very creative though and really love getting the extra building parts to make things with.

TBH a good enough creator probably doesn't even need extra building parts, they can probably make anything with basic shapes, but I like them.

It takes like 10 minutes to fiqure out the basics dude

I didn't like it. If you want a Tycoon Game, this is not the right Game for you. Its basically a creative Sandbox. If you want to build a big huge park that makes ton of money? Bad Game! The Game runs terribly no matter the hardware if your Park gets too big and also there is not much management to do.

I liked Planet Zoo better, because there at least you have something nice to look at while not doing any management.

Maybe he means is it worth the time it'll take to download? Worth the drive space it'll take up?

There's more to worth than just the monetary value.

My time is much more valuable than my money, and I would rather not waste my time with this game after learning more about it, even at $2

This is a great response. Could you tell me (or anyone else for that matter) when/where would be the best for picking up the DLC's on the best deals/bundles? Are there key sites that may be better at times or better sales? Thanks!
