DENUVO = NO BUY
thx to regional pricing this game is just $1.97 for me, this is peanuts, so cheap it's nothing... yet won't buy it and it's a shame cuz game looks cool.

Denuvo infection is enough to stay away from this game, same thing with south park the fractured but whole or deus ex mankind divided. Games released ages ago, already cracked etc still infected with DENUVO, absolutely mindblowing.

It's a more recent version of Denuovo than what you're probably used to, it doesn't really seem to affect performance.

It's still kinda crappy that it's there in the first place, though, and I still to this day really don't get why a game like this needs anticheat.

And...

Should Frontier decide to stop paying for Denuvo (it's not a one off cost, there is a flat fee for the first year and then a monthly cost thereafter) and the polling server for Denuvo gets switched off, and Denuvo does not get patched out of the game, this single player game will be unplayable as a result.

Then there is the fact that if you uninstall the game, Denuvo does not get uninstalled and it continues to communicate with the polling server.

You "buy" a game with Denuvo, then you are renting it until such time as the Dev/Publisher decides you do not, and IMHO it constitutes as spyware.

Denuvo is NOT your friend and at best, sometimes slows down pirates.

Also, in before the "you're a pirate" posts, look at my profile, I own over 2000 games on Steam alone and I own 14 games with Denuvo (obtained from Humble) which I will never, ever install.

Wondering the same. I hate to buy incomplete games and this one seems to have many dlcs.

Yeah, even at this price, Denuvo is a deterrent. I'd happily pay a lot more if they just ditched DRM altogether. Steam is already DRM-ish enough and as a consumer there's absolutely nothing to be gained from DRM — nor from anti-tampering in a single player game.

DRM is spyware

I'm surprised at how cheap it is. But the DLC still feels like a rippoff. I'll never buy them unless they are -95% discount as well. Even THEN. Devuno is the reason why i haven't played it anymore. It's too degrading on system performance.

+1 exactly

game is worth peanuts, so cheap but clearly base game is not the business here but selling all the multiple dlc's lol just like city skylines does.

also the worst, the thing that kills it is being infected with DENUVO DRM, no matter how cheap the game is i wouldn't buy it not even for 0.50 cents not with denuvo.

I did point out that it's still ♥♥♥♥♥♥ that it has it. My point is that the performance drop that historically plagued previous games that used Denuvo doesn't exist here, because the OP SPECIFICALLY complained about that, not the OTHER issues with Denuvo. Don't even THINK that that somehow means I'm in full support of this ♥♥♥♥ and DO NOT PUT WORDS IN MY MOUTH.

EDIT for clarity: This was originally posted in another thread that was merged into this one. The OP of that thread specifically complained about Denuvo's performance effect, not anything else.

This seems just like SIMS 4.
Base game is Free/Cheap, but SIms 4 has over 700 dollars worth of DLC.

I don't buy "Subscriptions" for software.
