After my first 8 hours last night, Park is now at 1,200+ guests, 800 park rating and making around $3,000-5000 profit, Used two loans to buy attractions and setup shopping area's during that time, including doing some marketing campaigns.

Adjust the prices of Rides and Vendors, Including park entrance dynamically. Keep eye on notifications. If guests say something is great value for money. it means it's too cheap. increase by 0.50 or 1. can go a lot higher depending how nice the park looks, clean, security, scenery. etc

PS: Recently Closed the park and sold everything to rebuild, Managed to get $43,000. Then used that to built an amazing scenic park and took a loan of $10,000 since i ran short, Then when it was complete, Re-opened Park, Just on opening day alone made $100,000, selling Entrance Tickets to 2000 guests swarming the gates at $50 and they were willing to shell it out and still enjoy default ride prices. and Priority Passes at $30. Making money is easy if you build a nice park and manage it well.

Edit: Over the course of 4 years, my park is now making $200,000 a month. Rebuilding it was the best investment choice ever.

Done Properly. Best of all, No tutorial required. Everything is self explanatory, Just play the game. Simple as that. Using your brains goes a long way., if you have any ABC issues, then this game is not for you.

My method is to make short, cheap rollercoasters. Most any coaster will have a good draw for customers and even the starting $10 ticket can make money quickly.

Here is my cheapest coaster. You can view my other cheap thrills in the workshop.

Also, look at how long cue times are. If you have a long cue with a lot of people in it, then they are not out in the park spending money. Get them on the ride and back out where they can spend.

There's a quick formula for highest-acceptable price for rides, but it's considered a spoiler so I'll hide it under a spoiler-block: In a park with no entrance fee, guests will usually pay about 3¢ per Prestige point -- for example, if a ride has 600 Prestige they'll pay pretty much $18. Thank Infinity for that one:
