Planet Coaster 2?
Did anyone think we get a new Planco title any time soon?
I think there are so much more potenzial but the game couldn´t handle it.

(iam in fear that the performance of the new game is even worse than the og title. we only have to look at recent game releases such as Cities Skyline 2. This game runs horrible even on a beefy setup.)

It's possible, Frontier currently have 3 own-IP management games in development, due to release on an annual basis over their next 3 fiscal years. The first of which is likely to drop around November this year.

Given how successful Planet Coaster was for them in 2016, the strong interest in a sequel from the player base and November 2024 marking the eighth anniversary of it's release, I'd say there's a strong chance the first of these three games would be Planet Coaster 2.

Expect them to announce whatever that first game is around May or June.

I really hope there will be a Planet Coaster 2 and that it will be similar to Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 having everything, coasters, animals and water park rides. Seeing that Planet Coaster 1 had mostly coasters and Planet Zoo having animals...my guess is that Planet Coaster 2 may have a chance of having water park rides such as water slides? It would be a dream come true in a theme park simulation game if Planet Coaster 2 contained all 3 key features but that's a huge project so most likely not. Either way I am excited to see if a Planet Coaster 2 does drop. I'll keep a look out for sure.

I hope when they do release 2 that it contains more content. 1 is a little lacking with the rides, etc.

Frontier has released its latest fiscal year report and this hints at a possible Planco 2 being released maybe November this year with an announcement probably around MAY. There will be a new game announced and released later this year and planet zoo is ending support and getting a console port along with a final DLC for PC.

That seems to be general consensus amongst content creators however I personally feel they've all jumped to the wrong conclusion.

Frontier still have to port The Great War: Western Front to consoles in order to complete the wind down of "Frontier Foundry". That is the more likely candidate for the port.

FD has killed the FF initiative as it was proven to be a financial failure and also just one of the reasons why FD are returning to the planet games or also known as CMS games. These are currently PC, PZ and JWE.

FD has announced 3 new CMS games to be released over the next few years so PC is the most likely candidate for later this year but they could announce a new planet game.

Frontier Foundry is bleeding cash for the company and the "Great War" game has a peak player base of only 3.5k and current player count of 147 players So this game is highly unlikely to be ported however not impossible.

So PZ is the likely candidate to be selected for a console port but you never know for sure until announcements are made so we will find out for sure soon.

I think its safe to say that PC2 will release in either 25 or 26.
It would be extremely surprising, if it was not one of the games teased to release around those dates.
If there is a PC2 there are a lot of things I'd like. But the number one thing would be backwards compatibility for workshop items. I slaved away for a month creating an interactive, working scale-replica of Hill Valley.

Odds are that is the one thing you won't get!

Best you finish that park in PlanCo 1.

But don't listen to me, I have no clue.

According to frontiers annual report, PC2 could be released in 2024. In that report there is a un-named game release.

Yes its indeed possible.

If PC2 gets released this year it would likely be around October or November as this would then be in FY25 as Frontiers fiscal year runs from June 1st to May 31.

Frontier plan 3 new CMS games across FY25-27

EDIT
Just looked back through my emails from when PC1 released. There was the early bird preorder alpha where we had access the the game early. I believe this was around July of 2016 so therefore Frontier could deploy a similar strategy again.

If it does release in '24 it will still be a while before I buy it, for two reasons. One, I like to buy games like this with all of their DLC's in a package, and Two, I certainly will need a better machine to run it.

this new game better have switch tracks and more coasters or i just mite keep the old one
