Recover Saved Game?
I started my game today, and it said that there was a conflict between the files on the computer and the files on the cloud, asking which I wanted to load. I didn't know what it meant, so I selected the cloud. Whoops. just loaded a park and HOURS of work are gone. Custom supports, intense pathworking and hacking, and I finally got it all where I wanted it, too.

Is there a way for me to access the game that was saved to my device instead of the same saved to the cloud, or is it now lost forever?

To get you're saves back, well that ship has sailed, so yeah gone now forever if you didn't have any saves backups before that, I had a problem like this on steam years ago where i picked the cloud and all my progress was wiped in said game, I've now learned to start doing more backups and not put full trust in steams auto saving backups of files, i personal use game save manger to get my saves backup that i can control so if that ever happen with the steam having problems i at least have a way to restore it as yes you can load it up and say to use this backup save and it will add your backup save data in said game yeah game save manger works on all game not just steam owned ones.

But with PC with game save manger i found out it when i had to use said backup doesn't work with the career part of the game, all my career progress has been wiped to 0 stars on every lvl i can see the career map saves but the game doesn't want to count them as doing the career part of the game, so that's the only bad thing i've come across at least i still got all my saves but, had to start again with the career tho.

Here is the link if you want to go for gamesave manger there are few other ways to get you're saves from games from steam as backups but this program makes it easy to get you're game saves backup so this problem can be avoided. https://www.gamesave-manager.com

It should say which is the most recent- go with this version should you get this message (if set to save to cloud will usually be your local pc as this is usually when it didn't finish syncing the cloud to your pc)

You can alternate setting between cloud/local saves to make local file backups- right click the game in your games list and it should give you the option of cloud saves or not

they might be in ONEDRIVE (in the saved games folder). if so, copy the park you was working on to SAVED GAMES on your computer and it should show up again when you start the game.

So my response is a bit late, but don't forget that you have a backup and restore option in windows. I back up daily, and there have been times when I need to revert my PC back to the day before, and it works just fine. Unless you're doing an extensive amount of work you need to save, and even so if that type of stuff is that important you should be backing that up on a thumb drive anyway. Your PC management and structure should be such that you can restore to the previous day at any given time.
