Any way to copy/paste scenery?
Hello! I am new to Planet Coaster. My question is how can I use copy/paste to duplicate a rather lovely-looking assortment of scenery such as a cluster of shrubbery and other assorted foliage? When I click-&-drag LMB across the screen, I don't have multiple objects selected and I don't know why.

There is a "Selection" icon in the very lower right-hand corner of the screen. Click on it and it pops up a choice between "Just select", "Add to the selection" and "Cancel". The first one will let you click and drag an area around multiple objects.

Use those to select the scenery you like, which should also show you the option to "Clone" whatever you selected, after which you can put it where you want.

Be careful tho, it's not consistent. Sometimes what you want to do is hold the Shift down while you left-mouse-click the items you want.

One way works while you're building a building and the other way works the rest of the time. Either I get confused or I've stumbled on to a bug, I don't know which.

Remember this is a 3D environment, so be careful not to select the item you're looking at and all the items behind it at the same time.

Also remember that in some scenarios, some parts of the scenery may be locked, altho even in those cases it'll usually let you grab trees and rocks and such.

Wow, that's a super thorough explanation! Thank you!

That's why I take to a direct bird's eye top-down camera view.

Not good enough.

Some scenarios have underground ride scenery that will get selected if you're not careful.

if you select unwanted pieces in multi-select mode...just hold down "Ctrl" and click on those pieces and they will be deselected leaving the rest still selected
