one is the length of the train, as in how many cars a train can pull.
the other is the number of trains.
The station length only affects the first thing, how many cars. As to the number of trains, you ought to be able to add as many as you like, never mind the station length or how many stations.

The only limit I see is I can't add more trains than there is room on the track.
Yah, it's way more complicated than it needs to be. If anybody knows of a simpler way to do this, I think we'd all be obliged if you'd share it with us.
1. Open your game (Planet Coaster)
2. Press F12 key
3. Exit the game
4. You should be on the Game Preview Screen now, with your image on it
5. Click the image, and look for the "Share" button (you may need to scroll)
6. Click the "Share" button
7. Add a caption, set to "Public", click "Upload"
8. Now ... go to the "View" menu at the very TOP of the Steam page
9. Select "Screenshots" from the drop-down
11. You'll see your images. On the bottom of that page, click "View Online Library"
12. In the Online Library, click on your image, which will expand it for viewing.
13. On expanded image, the image URL will be on the top frame. Click that to open yet another frame, where it's easier to capture the URL
14. Use your mouse to select the URL, COPY (Ctrl-C) You might be able to RIGHT-CLICK on this page then select "Copy Page URL". Make sure you're on the second opening of the image, otherwise "Copy Page URL" will copy the URL to your entire Online Library
15. Go to the Post Messages section
16. Compose a new message, and PASTE (Ctrl-V) the URL into the message
17. Post
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2595116029
You'll know you did it right because it starts with "https://" then
includes "steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/details/" then ends with "?id=999999999" where the "9"'s are all digits. Then after you post, you'll see a preview of your image in the posting.
I tried many times to fix including making sure the ride was closed .. all to no avail.
I solved it eventually and I believe the reason was that I had started with a station as part of a building blueprint.
I had to delete the whole track and the station element from the blueprint and start over by laying a new station and adding the track from there.
Once I did that, the functions all worked and I was able to add another 3 trains.
I hope that helps.
