Go Cart Problems
Hello to anyone who can help, I am the middle of building a park in sandbox mode and upon starting the scenario I checked through all the rides (coasters, transport, and regular) all the rides showed in all three of the selection menus. However a few weeks later, a ton of time investment later, and the park having come together about 40% i finally had found a spot for a go cart track only to come to the frustrating conclusion that there was no go carts in any menu. I've tried several things (Including deleting all the rides in the park from all categories in an attempt to see if they would show back up in the menu) but i have not succeeded in finding them and would really appreciate some help.

It really should be in the Track Rides menu. Double check that you have no filters on etc.

Also double-check that you're looking in "Custom" not "Blueprint". The "Blueprint" side is for completed rides, and the nature of go-carts being such that there might not be any.

I made absolutely sure I was in Custom not blueprint and I also made sure there were no filters applied

And you made sure you were looking at Track Rides, not Coasters, not flat Rides? If you filter by Content Pack to Main Game only and sort by Name it should be last in the list.

If that doesn't work the only thing I can think of is opening your Sandbox game in the Scenario Editor.

Try the Career Scenarios, specifically, Chief Beef Raceway.

The main attraction in that Scenario is a Go-Cart ride.

Ok so after checking the career mode and a brand new sandbox mode the carts are available in both and fully load, but to my disappointment the scenario i've dumped a ton of time in to still doesn't show them in the track ride menu. i took a couple screen grabs but this is my first time using the steam community hub and i'm not sure how to upload them on a reply. One shows my custom (problematic) scenario in the track rides custom menu with no filters and sadly no go carts. The other shows the career scenario with the track rides menu open ans clear as day both the main content go carts and the munsters dlc go carts.

I should probably look into making these instructions "pinned" if something like this hasn't been done already:

Posting a screenshot is way more complicated than it needs to be. If anybody knows of a simpler way to do this, I think we'd all be obliged if you'd share it with us.

1. Open your game (Planet Coaster)
2. Press F12 key
3. Exit the game
4. You should be on the Game Preview Screen now, with your image on it
5. Click the image, and look for the "Share" button (you may need to scroll)
6. The "Share" button looks like three connected circles. Click it.
7. Add a caption, set to "Public", click "Upload"
8. Now ... go to the "View" menu at the very TOP of the Steam page
9. Select "Screenshots" from the drop-down
11. You'll see your images. On the bottom of that page, click "View Online Library"
12. In the Online Library, click on your image, which will expand it for viewing.
13. On expanded image, the image URL will be on the top frame. Click that to open yet another frame, where it's easier to capture the URL
14. Use your mouse to select the URL (on the top of the frame), COPY that text (Ctrl-C)
15. Go to the Post Messages section
16. Compose a new message, and PASTE (Ctrl-V) the URL into the message
17. Post

https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2595116029

You'll know you did it right because it starts with "https://" then
includes "steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/details/" then ends with "?id=999999999" where the "9"'s are all digits. Then after you post, you'll see a preview of your image in the posting.

One thing that occurs to me, maybe go to the Chief Beef Raceway scenario and create a little go-cart race-track. Then save it as a Blueprint to your Workshop. Give it a nice distinct name so you won't have any trouble finding it later.

Then go back to the Sandbox you've been slaving over and see if now maybe it is possible to include that Blueprint.

You don't even need to do it up right, just have a small circle, drive out, drive back. Once you've got it in your Sandbox, assuming that's possible like it ought to be, you can change it however you like.

If that doesn't work, there is something seriously amiss that I can not figure. Heck, I can't figure what's wrong as it is. That go-cart ride should be available, especially in Sandbox mode.

ok so here is one of the screen grabs this one shows the blueprint I made in another scenario of the go carts and as you can pretty clearly see the one blueprint i made is locked.

The next image is custom scenario, custom track ride menu (no filters) and no go carts

The final image is chief beef career mode, custom track ride menu (no filter) and go carts are available

I should mention again that upon the start of the custom scenario the go carts were available but some time after starting and now for some reason are inaccessible

Best I can recommend is to open your park in the Scenario Editor and check Edit Scenario > Research tab > Unavailable box, see if it's there. If it is (or in the Researchable box, make sure to expand all nested) then move it (and anything else you're interested in) into the Unlocked box.

Then save, and open your new Custom Scenario in the Sandbox.

Because your bluprint is locked I'd suggest the Karts are not researched but, since it's a blueprint, it could be locked because a scenery theme or shop has not yet been researched. You would have to check exactly what it is included in the blueprint. and perhaps take away all scenery and re-save the blueprint in a different name to see if it then works.
