Flat rides on water
How do you place flat rides on water? The ride is either underwater or I have to place it high enough above the water where you can see the supports. Is there a way to place the ride flat on the water?

I've never had this issue, I've always held shift whilst placing the ride and slowly lifting up so you can only just see the base of the flat ride and not the actual support legs, Then adding scenery to the edges of it to make it seem more plausible or hide the base. The ride will natually go to the grround (like align to surface in one sense) unless you have already used shift to set a preset height.

Hope this and the above helps.

I’m trying to place a Ferris wheel in a lake that I’ve already made. When I go to place the ride I hold shift to raise the ride, but it won’t place the base level with the water. Only allows me to place it slightly above the water to where you can see the supports still.

Screenshots might help in this case as im not able to get on the game at the mo.

It won't be able to go level with the water, because paths have a minimum water level clearance as well. The only things that can get to water level, is track rides. I *think* you have to place the water first for them though. Track will ignore clipping the water, but water will not ignore clipping the track, if you get what I mean.

After pressing F12 and taking the screenshot you need to upload it to steam, which will foten prompt you to do something with them after you have closed the game.

If you do not make them visible to the public then theres not much i can do in that respect. Even if you post the link to that screenshot i still wont be able to view it. Thats entirely your perogative dont get me wrong! However next time im in game I'll have a look at it.

Hey, TheDude, I went into the game and had no problem getting the ferris wheel to sit correctly at the level paths need above the water. Doing so also showed me they fixed that minimum distance, which is awesome!

The only thing I can suggest, is check the "Global Vertical Snapping" (I think that's the wording) in the settings menu, and see if it is on or off. I know that effects a few things.
