How comes when I subscribe to something that under blueprints it has a blank screen with a circle and a lock?

If it contains parts you don’t have access to, either because you don’t own the necessary DLC or because they’re not available in your game mode (not researched or present in the scenario) it will be locked.

How do you research for an item or ride? thank you for the comment it was helpful, I wish some people would describe what DLC you need to use there creation.

Under Park Management there’s a research tab, when you select that it will give you several options. What it will show you is only general descriptions of what research is available, so pinpointing what you need for each blueprint can be difficult, since even one part from a different category will keep the blueprint locked. People often use off-themed or DLC parts in the designs for something as simple as a specific bush or part of a light.

Research for themed parts and foliage is generally pretty cheap though, so it’s worth prioritizing.
