Getting Queue is full complaints.
Maybe a bug? But after opening a ride I am getting a lot of complaints that the queue is full when large groups of patrons arrive at the ticket booth at the front of the queue line and they are turned away. The queue line is not anywhere near full.

Edit: I modified the path a bit and that seems to help. Must be some sort of pathing issue. The turned away patrons arrive in large numbers in the corner of the queue path where the ticket holder is.

Got the same issue here.. hope it will be fixed on release..

EDIT: I found out that this is due to a long queue path, try shortening the path, it worked for 2 coasters that had the same issue here..

If your you queue is full, you can change it and add length. Unfortunately, then the folks will complain that the wait is too long. Trying to find a balance is a bit tricky.

I have experiemented and kept making the queue longer until they started to complain about the longer wait. Then I made it just a bit shorter and kept raising the price until the line didn't completely fill up. That seemed to work pretty well. A few complaints about the high price, but not near as many as queue full or wait too long.

I don't think it really needs fixing......that seems like normal people behavoir.....gotta have something to complain about! LOL

It doesn't seem to affect the overall happiness of people much.

I think you misread my original post. It's not they complain about queue full because the line is full, it is complaints even though the line isn't full. I edited the path a bit since the patrons seemed to arrive in the corner of the line entrance where the ticket holder is standing in large numbers and causing complaints. It's almost like there were too many people trying to buy a ticket at the same time which in turn caused "queue is full" complaints.

Sorry, I did read your post wrong. I haven't experienced "crowding" at the ticket holder. I have had narrow paths around shops get crowded causing some issues for peole to get through, but that was more my poor design of what I should have expected to be really busy.

Your's sonund like a strange problem.

I'm not saying it's realistic or not but I was able to beat this "bug" by adjusting prices. I simply put the game on fast forward and stare at the queue with the ticket price window open and jack it up to something crazy like $30. Then I watch if anyone goes into the ride. I drop it $1 each couple of seconds until they do. Then I look at the queue to see if it maintains a certain amount of people or doesn't build up any. Then I drop it $1 at a time again until it basically is the length I want to maintain to keep people happy. You may have a few people say it's too expensive but you will at least be VERY profitable. Two last things, I've had guests say that they won't queue that long even with nobody in line so they are actually concerned about how far they will have to walk , the only way I was able to get both comments positive was to physically shrink the queue line and adjust the price.

I've had similar glitches, people turning around at the start of the queue, complaining about a full queue even though there is no one in line. I've found that if you stop the ride, and then start it again right away, they queue up normally again.

You can't ever completely stop complaining, the peeps all have varied tolerances to waiting/cost etc

Unfortunately, your approach might have helped you in the short term, but is plainly ridiculous to apply repeatedly for the problem.

I have had similar success doing the same, but just as well, the complaints continue, and as Clint posted, it is ridiculous to have to repeatedly perform a ride adjustment task to get the queue working correctly.

I think you misread the original post. I agree that you cannot stop people from complaining, but there is no reason 10 people should complain about a full queue made for 50 when only 5 are walking toward the loading platform and no one in front of them is in the line.

Well seems you tried everything so chalk it up to a bug and report it.

Apparently I haven't tried everything, otherwise I wouldn't post anymore. Perhaps it is a bug, thank you Steam for forums. A place where we can discuss topics that might concern us about gameplay. Thanks to you for keeping this topic alive and not dying in all the muck.

How is your scenary rating for the queues that are complaining? I try to get a 90+ scenary rating before I open a ride now and don't get many queue moaning.

Also, I believe I read somewhere that the game is hinting at priority passes for the rides in question. Might be worth an experiment?
DelScorcho Nov 29, 2016 @ 4:52pm
Typically I'll work on the scenery as well a bit before opening, but work the rating up higher after the ride is running as not to waste revenue. Priority passes sounds like a plan, I haven't yet done priority passes yet. I figured that would have been redundant until the park population was very high to need the priority line. Which also begs the question, are priority passes going to work if the park rating doesn't rise because of the original problem of this topic? I guess I'll find out. Thanks.
Jacknm2 Nov 29, 2016 @ 5:05pm
Ive found priority pass's are a waste. Even at $15 (park entry $3, family price $9) with 3 flat rides, 4m3 track/water rides and 4 coasters with priority pass enabled most customers said "priority pass's are for suckers".

I havent had much issue with this when my queue scenery was at 100% and i didnt make the queue too long or too short for that matter. Also having the ride last only a few minutes and load up a lot of passengers helps.

But even with all the above i do occasionally get "guests think X ride has too long a queue time" and when I check it its like 6 minutes. Considering the rate at which time passes thats probably realistic ... maybe, i havent bothered to do the math.

If they are being turned away because its full when its not full, that indeed does seem like a bug or pathing issue. As the op has said changing the path either by making it less complex (less turns and u bends) and not too long or short shoud alleviate it. But its something eorth reporting.

The main thing is...as long as the money is still pouring in ignore it and make sure you have other rides and facilities in the vacinity. This has served me well. Its not the right solution but its one none the less. I thought id just add my input as you said its a discussion :).

I agree completely, as long as the money rolls in screw those patrons. Yet one of the things I have almost always enjoyed about theme park sims is seeing all those people wait in line for a ride, just so they can virtually feel our real pain. All humor aside yes I have facilities in place nearby. A suggestion I had brought up prior to final release, I hope to be implemented, is the amount of people waiting inside the loading gates on a ride platform. It would be more realistic to see more then one group of people standing to load on a roller coaster platform. Enough to fill the station to capacity, loading would be far quicker.

I also have this situation. Just recently made a ride and getting peeps complaining about queue line being full when not even at halfway full. Tried making the queue line bigger but still same situation. Definitely a bug
