Parkitect vs Planet Coaster vs Roller Coaster World
Oh boy, here we go...

Let me begin by saying that I have barely played RCT2 back in the day, as I didn't like the freedom. I like simulation games because of the management, not because of the sandboxiness. I like objectives, campaigns (story mode) and panels, not pixel perfect layouts nor having 37845 quadrillion tools and objects at my disposal.

This said, I always really, really wanted to like the theme park sims. I just haven't got sucked in (yet).

With these thoughts, which of these games do you feel I would enjoy the most? I really can't decide...

Thanks!

Planet Coaster for those that want to create a park.

Parkitect for those that want to manage a park.

Roller Coaster World for those that don't know better.

Yeah, but it's quite old and prior to release. Many things, even the core gameplay could've changed
If you're looking for management I wouldn't recommend either Parkitect nor PC, Parkitect is still in Alpha so you can't expect some huge park management stuff yet, but they have some user created scenarios which can be difficult, and PC did just a bad job in terms of creating this management stuff.

Nah, the core is pretty much similar, if you want management, you get parkitect, if you want creativity, get planet coaster. If you are the sort of person who drinks white lightning by choice, get rtcw.

Having only played Planet Coaster, I can't say which one is best for you, but I can say that I don't think Planet Coaster is it; it's pretty creativity-intensive. The park management side of things is definitely there, but it's currently so easy that it might as well not be. So unless they work on that, I don't think Planet Coaster is quite what you're looking for.

Many thanks for your honest answer. I'll wait for Parkitect to leave EA then.

Enjoy PC!
