in a minute a bunch of people will chime in and say it works for them, for some reason they feel they need to do that.
Funny fact, my wife is playing the game too and our machines are exactly identical. For her its no problem to play custom music, but for me it seems absolutely impossible.
i got pirates of the caribbean for my pirate theme
wow, thanks genius. it doesnt work
^this is it. Same for me. Tried mp3, wav, wma, and even flv(whoops) they wouldnt playback at all. Finally tried converting to ogg and it worked, but so low of a volume that it's not audible while on the ride it's playing on (only audible when moving the camera back some, and then, just barely).
... do you know a really good converter, i mean i'm using online ones but they seem to be one at a time.. oh well..
so, after turning sound effects down to 25% and turning system sound way up, the volume is good. But the playback behavior seems funky for many rides; starts partially through the song etc. I dont mind I guess, I can just use placable speakers. But converting all the stuff i want to use (I still have over 100 sound effects, music, speeches, etc from RCT3 saved on my comp) is going to kinda suck :/
