as it stands, it maxes out a quad core so its threaded nicely at least up to 4 threads.
you have a slightly slower cpu then I have, so in the when the game is going, expect it to run bad, but you have a more powerful gpu than i do, so in the paused, you may hit 60... its a bit of a toss up, but this isnt a fps, you will more likely than not be able to play the game even if its going at a low fps.
There was one ♥♥♥♥ gen for the current itnel cpu names, mobile i3's or possibly tablet i3's were garbage for quite a while longer, but the worst i3 on the desktop is the Intel Core i3-540, and an i5 comes in at Intel Core i5-520 which is actually worse then the i3,
Its part of the reason why when I see I3/I5/I7 as a minimum for games, I always remember that first run and know my phenom 955 is likely better.
its a bit of a balanceing act, some effects are clear and noticeable, some are barely noticeable unless you look real hard, the good thing is, most if not all effects are able to be seen in game without resting so checking them out isnt painful.
(Yep, i3-2100 is only a 3,1GHz dual-core with hyperthreading / 2nd Intel Gen. Sandybridge)
when you pause the cpu load almost goes away entirely, I have never personally ever built anything in any of the rollercoaster games while the game was not paused, so I see it as very playable.
