Interested to see if it works :)
So i would say even though its an awesome CPU its likely the issue with streaming this particular game.
These are the Encoding settings I use -
Video Encoding - Encoder Nvidia NVENC, CBR, Enable CBR padding, Max Bitrate 3500kb/s, Buffer Size 3500kbit.
Audio Encoding - Codec AAC, Bitrate 96 @44.1Khz, Stereo.
The only issue I have is sometimes my UP speed drops.
I only have an i5-3570, 8Gb Ram and Gainward GTX980. Can stream a park with plus 7000 guests no problems.
Yeah but that will remain a (core) issue untill devs will fix it. I have no issues with other games at all. I want to try to get the best performance I can. I find it a bit hard to swallow that the performance of this game is so poor from my point of view. Don't get me wrong, it's the most fun game i've played in a while, but my main goal here is to share what I play, that's what I do 6 days a week and it really knags me not to be able to stream the game that I really like to play.
My CPU is at 60% while streaming and playing (me playing is actually building themed scenery all the time. Rides come later.) Still is a small park. i.e. I have a mountain with a ride and some scenery inside, that spot alone drops it to 18FPS. Based on an area that covers around 10% of the entire map. BTW i tried to record the game (not using OBS, 1080p 60FPS) and the result is no lag or poor video material. So capturing the game in good quality is possible!
So far I've tried Process Lasso, but that doesn't really work (well it does what it supposed to do, but the effects are minimal). I've set the game settings on LOW, that helps a bit, not that I really want to play like that but hey, all for the stream.
All together the FPS is a bit better, but still not were i want it to be.
The next thing i'll be trying (probably over the weekend) is to see if i can update my plugins and then try to use a minimum of third party sources (i.e. BrowserSource for OBS) by combining as many elements I can. I know browserSource is pretty heavy even for a small donation goal because every instance is infact as heavy as a full browser.
If you guys have any other ideas, drop them below, I'm always open for suggestions!
Do you use OBS or OBS Studio. Because I can't enable CBR Padding or set a buffer size in the OBS Studio version I use. (0.16.6)
