Exit paths for wooden coasters...difficulty

I'm sorry that i can't give specific examples at the moment, but I have noticed that with several large wooden coasters, the entrance and exit gates are on the inside of the coaster. Once I make the simplest entrance cue possible, there seems to be no way to run an exit path back out. No matter how I try, the path has to run into the structure of the coaster and it gets blocked.

What am I missing here?

When you build your coaster station you can choose whether to have both entrance and exit on the same side and also which side. Even if you are using a blue print you should be able to edit the station pieces to move the entrance / exit to whichever side works best.

I must be incredibly dumb. I have downloaded the "Airplane Coaster" from the workshop, and I see that the exit is on the inside very near the coaster structure. It's impossible to create an exit path, and for the life of me I can't figure out how to move the exit to the other side of the station. I must be missing something extremely simple. Can anyone help me out? Thanks.

The creator of that specific coaster may have done so with the settings set so that coaster and scenery collision was allowed. You might try changing the settings and see if it will allow you to add the path where the creator placed it. Or you can move the exit to another location and modify their scenery to match your new location.

I'll look into that. Thank you. As an aside, I tried to move the exit but all I can do it slide it back and forth along the edge of the platform. I was hoping to be able to move it to the side the entrance is on but that may not be allowed on Planet Coaster.

You can not move the exit to another side of the platform. You have to Edit the Coaster itself and change the type of platform to whatever has the entrance and exit on whichever side you want.
