Where do you get hotels?

There are none in my shops section and it doesn't come up as a research option

There is a Hotel icon with the stalls. If there's nothing there, it's likely this is an older park that didn't correctly add it in. It's a bug from the update and it happened to me with hotels and restaurants.

The solution is to load your park in the scenario editor, enable the hotels in the research panel and re-load your park back in the mode you were playing (sandbox/challenge).

as long as your computer updated you will always have them under the Shop and Facilities. Type "Hotel" if you want to find it faster or click on the Hotel icon on the left. 3 items should show up....Standard Room, Luxury room and Foyer

I have played most of the career modes and so far I have not seen the option to use hotels in any of them. But if I do sandbox mode I can use them. So, based on that experience and the comments above I assume the hotel feature was added after the career modes were released (and maybe the challenges too).

I'm not entirely sure they work right anyway. I had one in a sandbox park I've been working on and it sat empty the entire time it was there.
