Rides stay empty

So when i strt the park and i decorate my rides they are very popular.
But sadly when my park grows and i have some nice coasters and all my rides never seem to be able to attract people no matter how much i decorate them or how low i keep the price.
I also use advertising with panels for everything but the amount of guests willing to go on the rides stay drasticly low.

any tips on what i am missing here?

Rides lose popularity as they age. You can replace them or pay to have them refurbished once they are no longer making money.

I go down the reburbishment route. You just have to have 1 mechanic in the oark.

Ok so.... Your answers have been half right.... Yes as time goes on your lower presitige rides will get ignored more and more... you Do sadly have to reduce price even though their prestige usually would qualify for more $$$.

Just make sure that---
The area is decorated around them,
Queue stays at 100% decor,
Ride Scenery is HIGH (if it has this stat),
Don't clump coasters together always have 1 coaster with lots of smaller rides around it... Also keep "kiddie" rides together as well. Not everyone can ride every coaster!
If 10%+ people are red with PRICE IS TOO high lower it by a dollar or so every so often,
Has advertising throughout the park.
Has transport rides dropping off near the area.


It is a balancing act keeping old rides full of people and new rides/coasters not hogging all of the patrons.

Always be careful if you refurbish cause you wont ever get rides to classic if you do so!

Thx for the tips but ihave found a solution on the planet coaster facebook page.
First of all everything myst has said is true but all of this was not the problem in my case.

Appearently ride sequence does ALOT for rides prestige.
appart from the diffrent options it is mainly to increase the rides duration.
Once their prestige goes up people will again then come to the ride.
Yes the rides take longer but you can again ask a higher price.
Pricing was not the problem cuz even if i put it on free nobody was interested to ride them.

so i hope this will help others as well.
try balancing it out with attracting more people, longer duration and still make it profitable.

Ok so yeah flat rides... use this... the $$ does fall off over time Sorry i was guesstimating didn't realize you meant mainly flat rides........

A big thing that will also increase how much they will pay/want to ride is the longer the ride the better.... ATM i have a single station Connie express going around my park with LOW scenery and a barely decorated queue and im chugging 2 full 7car trains at $30 a head....
