Shop Extras: Optional or not?
Just chatting to a friend about guest requirements, and wondered how the shop extras actually work.

For example, if one of my Street Fox Coffee outlets had the marshmallows activated as an extra for Cappuccino, does that mean guests have the OPTION of asking for marshmallows with their cappucino, or does every cappuccino now come with marshmallows regardless?

I know the extras have their own attributes to guest needs, we were just curious as to whether the extras are really 'optional' extras.

They're optional on your end.
They're getting marshmallows if you tick that box.
Guests are happy with or without marshmallows.

Some extras like salt make guests thirsty they'll check out your drink stall after they buy salted food.
You can combo the cash out of your guests this way.

Fair enough. I did see a suggestion in an article a few days ago that if you have extras selected, you should have them set to 'a lot' although i'm not sure that would be beneficial in all cases. A lot of salt would likely make the guest buy more drinks, but a lot of toffee pieces in a coffee would probably make the guest more nauseous.

I do like the fact we are able to play around with these details though! I shall observe the effects on my guests!

You can put extra caffine in their drinks and make them use the toilet and charge them for that too.

That's cool! It would be good to know how all of the different options affects the guests needs. But it's fun experimenting with them and reading the guests thoughts too.
