Benchmark help please
Im looking to see if its worth the upgrade to a 7700k or above.

With the current park I am working on, I am reaching a low of 14fps with 3500 guests. The park is compact and dense but I would like to carry on expanding and I am interested to know what fps others achieve on a higher spec machine than mine.

My machine is an i 4690k with gtx 1070 8gb ram

If possible, please could you download the park below and pan around to see what the lowest frame is on your machine and let me know. It may just save (or spend) me $$$.

At worst, you will have a half built realistic park to expand upon :)

Thank you!!

At this moment for PC it's better to upgrade to a fast cpu (higher GHZ) rather than a 9/8/12 core processor on lower GHZ speed. This because of the limited directx11. A 7700k is a good deal and easely overclockable (mine is running at 5.2 Ghz - watercooled mind you) and does perform verry well for this game. If you have other games you like to play that do use directx12 you better consider to have a 8700k.

Thank you for your comment. Is there any way you could quantify the performance increase against my 14-16 fps on this park?

I am getting 35-40 fps on this park.

Specs:
5930k at 4.6GHz
1080ti
32GB Ram

Thanks for the feedback. Thats great performance. It will be interesting to see what the difference is on the 7700k with fewer cores but higher clock speed.

For reference I backed off my overclock to 3.6 GHz and was getting a steady 30fps. I also forgot to metion I am running at 3440x1440 with all graphics settings maxed.

Like TimeChild stated the core count will almost not matter due to the limitations of the draw call of directx11 utilizing only one thread. The speed on the other hand will make some difference although not as much as you would expect. For me a 1 GHz difference in clock speed only netted 5 fps. Some may not see that kind of increase worth spending money on a better cooling package for their computer just to gain a few frames. I am not an expert in this so if I am mistaken on something feel free to correct me.
