Multisample quality

Can someone please tell me what this is? I guess anti-alisaing. An if so, what are all the numbers? What is the best and what is the worst?

I dont have the game open but generarily:
Multisampling = AA
higher numbers = Better but also more power consuming, and anything beyond 2x is so unnoticable and way too power hungry to be worth it.

Thanks for the reply. I noticed that when I changed it 4X 16q the FPS were stable between 80-and 110.
