But, one park would have only one pot of funds and only so much space. What if you both want to build a different coaster? Parks are only so big.
There are no downsides to multiplayer. Period. End of discussion.
Yes.... I think we all know that... I also think that's exactly the reason this topic was started in the first place, but thanks for your awesome and respectfull input!
These are no arguments at all. I quite enjoy building with my brother in mutliplayer co-op in the Anno games. Same pot of money, limited amount of space. And guess what..... You're never going to belive this..... But it all works out! In fact, so far nobody has complained that the feature exists.
So you're saying the park will only fit one coaster? I'm confused. Person A builds coaster A, person B builds coaster B.
In fact, and let me blow your mind for a moment: One person designs the coaster, asks what the other person thinks during the building process, while the other person does decorations?
Let's go one step further. 3 players. 1 designs the coaster, 1 does the station, and one does the track decorations. Can you see where I'm going with this?
Let's not stop, I'm on a roll (get it?) One person does the infrastructure layout, one person does the shops, 1 person does the coasters, and all of you do decorations.
There really are NO downsides. So far this is easily the most requested feature for this game, and so far not 1 person has been able to come up with a reason why this shouldn't or can't be done.
You can ask input and opinions of your buddies during the build process. They can enjoy your rides, you can enjoy theirs. It will take FAR less time to make a beautifull park and you can all enjoy it together instead of being the loner all alone in your park that nobody else can enjoy with anybody, ever, at all. Have you ever seen people go to a themepark alone? I mean apart from the pedofiles? Care to guess why that is? So weird huh, that people want to do this together and totally not obvious..... right?
Honestly, sometimes I fear for humanities future....
- Has there at any time been an announcement of multiplayer in this game? I did not find any…
- Have you already bought this game knowing that there is no MP? If so, it’s your fault, don’t complain, learn from it…
You know what? If you think a game like this one really needs MP go and make one yourself. Then we will see if you are right. But please stop whining.Yes, people visit parks in groups but park design is usually done in small collaborative teams. This game is about designing theme parks and coasters not visiting them. Your analogy doesn't work. And if you think this about people who visit theme parks alone, it speaks more about yourself than the people who visit theme parks alone. This game is about building theme parks not visiting them.
Princess Wingardium mentions what I would've done - collaboration via the workshop. Personally, too many chefs ruin a broth so a single creative vision is more what I like. Creativity by committee hinders design more than helps it. It's not often two people share a creative vision wholly.
