whenever i try to use them it does not matter where i try to put them the game says it is being blocked by something i think the supports for the coaster go through track lower down making it not possible to place

Hmm, try fiddling with the scenery/coaster collision options in the main menu, obviously something stopping it from been placed. Also try raising them slightly when placing it by holding down 'shift' and move the mouse, if you already didn't know that, could be that possibly?

Hope this helps somewhat.

raise it up slightly.

Are you using the pre-built (ones already in-game) or ones from the Workshop? Some Workshop ones require collision to be disabled.

Go to the settings and check on all of the options that allow scenery and rides to collide with each other. Then try to place the ride again. Once you do , don't forget to go back and check off all those options off again after the ride is placed. Then you can ride the coaster and see where you need to make adjustments (like dig tunnels or move some scenery) to make sure the coaster is not going through the ground or walls.

This is helpful for workshop coasters that were meant to go underground or in an area with a dip in the ground.

Several of the coasters, not just the wooden ones, seem to have parts of the track that go below the level of the entry station. That's all well and good when you're building it piece by piece, and you have auto-tunneling active, but I don't think you can auto-tunnel with a pre-built coaster. (it's a shame, too, that would be mondo cool!)

You don't necessarily need to raise it up a little, although that will work. What you can do is determine where the low points are, then lower the terrain at those points.

Or you can (1) turn on the settings that allow for ride and scenery collisions, (2) place your park, (3) then turn off those settings to make things normal again, (4) set the terrain editing tools to cover a small area, (5) follow the ride track and "scoop out" a tunnel or lower the ground exactly where the track goes through it.

Yah, it sure would be nice if all that was automatic! :steamhappy:

I agree. It would be. I would think it would not be too hard to do either. But I am not a programmer.

I'm curious... Are you trying to make the station floor at ground level? Most coasters need the floor of the station 4 meters high. By station floor I mean the platform that peeps walk across to wait and load into the cars.
