If you are still playing through the basic scenarios, the aging system is disabled.
Once you get into challenge mode or sandbox, the "ride age" will be right below the number of stars.
No it doesn't. Only helps with reliability so it will take longer to break down.
I just wish the "New" lasted an extra couple of years and the time it takes to become "Classic" was cut by 25% to 50% which would help fight the urge of replacing an old ride with the exact same one and reduce bordom on higher difficulty levels. Sitting around with fast forward on max for 24 years is not really fun.
Yes. If you have an old challenge park from prior to the Winter Update you will not have the new Age mechanics.
At least on medium difficulty, keeping "old" rides running while making a profit on the park as a well is totally viable if you switch to a free ride / ~$5 coasters / large entrance fee setup. You do make more profit though if you just replace the ride and charge on a per ride basis.
