Planet Coaster

Planet Coaster

Ver estadísticas:
Finally, I'm very disappointed by this game...
In a game which give to you the opportunity to build a coaster park, you hope to build a coaster park, right?

But this game is more or less a map editor, or a Minecraft-like, or a low-cost city builder. I explain :

Buildings available are very limited. And some buildings are missing. (For example, there is an infirmary in the Carribean theme, but not in the fantasy theme.) If you want to build a park based on an universe, choices are very limited. So, no problem, there is the SANDBOX MODE.

BUT THIS SANDBOX MODE! BY ALL PAGAN GODS! YOU SPEND 90% OF YOUR TIME in the sandbox mode to build ONE BY ONE, PIECES BY PIECES, WALL BY WALL, all missings buildings, and spend only 10% of your time to build funny coaster or attractions!
It's very boring and annoying ! Of course, the map editor is very complete, rich and anything you want, but not really ergonomic, especially if you want to modify the existing buildings to buy some time.

And I regreat this, because we spend not enough time inside our own coasters or exploring our own park. And this is one of the major feature of the game. So bad.

Finally, an incomplete game, unless you're ready to spend all your time in the sandbox mode to build buildings and other decorations/cosmetics things. And when I bought the game, I wanted to spend 90% of my time to build my own coaster/attraction park! Not other thing!

It's why, for me, Planet Coaster is not the "best coaster park building", because 95% features of the game must be created by the player.

I was very happy by the idea to build a medieval theme park, with mad coaster around and inside a big dungeon, a quiet wagon around a forest village, many things like that, but I need to create my own ramparts, medieval market, and "background" buildings.... Same thing for all other themes. There is not "background" structures. It's why it's not a coaster park builder for me. Just a low-coast city-builder.

What do you think? Maybe an open debate?

Well, there's the Steam Workshop if you can't be bothered to make your own buildings. Use buildings made by other people and just plop them into your own park.

Really your main complaint is easily fixed by clicking a tab, 5 tabs over from the one you used to make this post.

Our steam workshop is just shy of 55,000 unique items. Surely there's quite a few items in there for you to download to your game?

^^ When a dev takes the time (which means money) to create these customization tools with easy workshop integration, giving hundreds of downloadable blueprints, that time comes from somewhere else. The best place to take that time out is, obviously, the blueprints they spend time on themselves.

Besides, if you had pre-set blueprints for all those things, your park would look like everybody else's and once you made one park you made them all. If you want a cool, unique park you need those customization tools or, at the least, dozens of blueprints for each individual part to choose from

Even without going to the Steam Workshop, it takes about 6 clicks to put down a pre-built fantasy food stand, edit the building, delete the food vendor cube, and put a first aid cube into the same spot. Add a few more clicks if it has a sign that needs to be changed, but still a task of about 30 seconds.

This is a very short sighted, poorly researched review. I've spent most of my time building my own parks with unique themes spread around the park rather than a singular theme. I've made my own variations on other peoples idea's and ones given in the game. I've also managed to build 4 Coasters and design to area's on a new park in about 20 hours of gameplay and the park is about 2/5's full.

The game is what you make of it, I'm sad to see you havent made very much of it, as others have said if you dont want to spend the time making your own unique buildings for your chosen themes then the workshop is full of custom buildings, rides and prebuilt parks.

My opening sentance stands, this is a poorly thought out review.

Who said you MUST build an entire building around a shop? Leave that for when you are inspired to construct a building. If you want to play with coasters then play with coasters. Just cover the cube shop walls with a material of your choosing (wood, bricks, plaster, whatever), put some trees all around it so it doesn't look too much like a cube in the middle of nowhere, and be done with it.

You dont have to make it look fancy... this is the best way to create something that is completly yours... if you dont want to make that, download stuff? i dont see any problems... otherwise stick to the rollercoaster tycoon games,,,, but those are boring... because its always the frikking same !!!! you get the point of this game now do you?

This...

How about using sandbox to build your super infinitely hard to build infirmary, save to blueprint, and use it more than once... Hell, then share Rochs-super-infinitely-hard-to-build-infirmary with the rest of the community via the workshop, therefore giving all the other little Rochs out there something to use...

P.s.
