GPU fan is way too loud
does this happen to anyone else?

R9 200 series. GPU

within 2/3 mins of starting the game my GPU is roaring. graphics are all on low, v-sync etc. profile in radion to keep v-sync on. need a solution to this as the sound is driving me crazy.

even GTA V isnt that loud, game is unplayable, will this be fixed or should i refund it?

annoying cause i really wanna play this

Usually your GPU fan only spins accordingly to what temperature your GPU is getting. With an old card like that it must be running very hot cause it is working very hard to run this game. I like my computer loud and always have had fans running loud cause I like the cooling and peace of mind. Plus when I am gaming I never here the PC with my headsets on.

got myself a R9 290x card, and they are known to be very hot cards, but this game uses allot of GPU at the moment, especially the guests, you can fight this by lowering the amount of guests in your park in Park Management, allot of scenery can also be a contribution. Disable Ambient Occlusion as well.

Yes I have a brand new computer with a AMD RX 480 and it still runs fairly loud. Though I'm running on ultra settings. This is simply a heavy game w hen you think about all the scenery and movement it has to render.

No, my fans run at a constant low speed at all times, because I have proper cooling.

It's never the game's fault it's your build. There is a power limit in every component in your PC, and if was built properly it should work when all of those power limits are hit simutenously.

I had an R9 270 and could barely run the game in HD. I would have to maunally turn the fans on my video card up to 80% just to keep the game from locking up. I upgraded to a RX 480 just a few days ago and can now play in 4K smoothly with low fan noise and no lock-ups. Once guest get up to 2,000+ it starts to slow a little but it's stil much more enjoyable. This game is a great excuse to upgrade that VGA card.

Seems to be an AMD issue to get really hot

again, its not my builds fault. ONLY THIS GAME DOES THIS. GTA V isnt half as noisy.

and before you all keep telling me to remove guests, its happening on an empty park.

nothing todo with my "old card" or my "build" its to do with poor development.

I was using a 2gb card from AMD and it was overhreating with everything down on low, i just purchased a GTX1070 8GB and it doesnt even break a sweat on ultra with a near full park.
Id suggest installing something like speedfan or a controller to monitor it and find out but would guess like mine, an upgrade is needed

u lot are not understanding the point i think.....the game RUNS FINE...
freakshowfreak Dec 4, 2016 @ 7:05am
some gpu fans just make a loud noise.......

I had a verry loud 7970 was just the bad cooling/fan design..... the card can handle it but just will make a lot of noise.... after that bought a strix 970 my pc is very silent now....

so if you can't stand the noise get a other card otherwise don't worry to much about it
aslong you don't get artifacts and stuff youre card is fine.
they can get verry hot

again this is the only game that does that. i just want a way to limit it. i dont need my card to be at 100% load at all times.

im not buying a new card just cause one game decides to run differently to every other.
