Why no park maps to speed up peeps movement from ride to ride?
Is weather coming so we can sell umbrellas?
They pay for pass + ride fee, the pass only allows them to bypass queue not payment
So if you find a lot of your rides have complaints about queue time, then it's perfect time to start selling the pass
A priority pass lets them travel through the line faster. But it won't change matters with some of the more ??? rides if they are stuck in line for 10 minutes at the absolute hard coded minimum, or people take the slow scenic route entering and exiting a ride.
The Rocktopus customers are not willing to walk past the control booth, or the open middle parts of the ride. So if you don't bend over backwards to compensate, customers will walk around the entire ride to sit in something closest to the entry gate (and then same situation leaving).
Watch the default setup on the Rocktopus the first pirate career mission has, for example. Though at least that one can be mitigated by adjusting your placement so the gates are as far from the booth as possible, it's still annoying and you have to work around it. I kicked my own victory conditions into overdrive tweaking that and people went from constantly pissed off to adoring it.
Similarly, some rides will have insane wait times no matter what you do. Like the Radius ferris wheel. 10 minute ride time... And they only bulk load/unload every single seat at once (via teleportation once they reach the platform).
None of the ferris wheel style rides work like actual ferris wheels. They don't let people in and out of single cars as they reach the station. They only load/unload everyone at once after the entire ride sequence (So make sure that max load time is REALLY high, or turned off once you know customers are always going to be in line)
Plus there is some wonky pathing with the big wheels, They are hard wired to have half the customers enter the front, and half the customers enter the back by. For some reason, despite there being doors on both sides of the car. The usual casuals armchair design answer of "LOL just rotate your ride/move your gates!" doesn't change that, whoops.
At least the tiny rides that are ferris wheel styled (The kick-flip and whirlyrig) are so small and front load only, that they work smoothly. As odd as it is they just cut corners so ferris wheel design rides just bulk load and teleport customers.
To setup up the pass it has to be added after the ticket booth for the ride,so to get into the priority queue they have to go through the normal ride queue gate. Its just like when they enter the park itself, once they cross through the ticket gate they pay.
My issue is I have priority queues on my busiest rides and have the pass about $3.50 and still only sell maybe 20 passes a monthbut the ride queues are full. The only priority pass they use on the ones on my coasters and no other rides. If I raise the pass fee then no one really buys them.
Now I just have to figure out the shops. They are near ride exits but never make any profit, employees are just happy enough to keep the shop open but not enough sales to profit.
