why does every blueprint float?
everything i download whether it be a house, shops or even tree when i go to place it's always not at terrain height? doesn't anyone build these on flat land before uploading them?

I'm going to assume they don't. Usually when that happens I'll just get the terrain tool and tell it to flatten to foundation (most of the time it works, sometimes it doesn't)

This is not due to player error, it does not matter if you built your blueprint on a high up hill or a low canyon, they will always show up just above the terrain. This is because every biome has a different height of terrain, not every park is the same, so the game just sets blueprints slightly above the terrain. Not sure why the devs cant fix it though, they always struggle with it in livestreams

yeh it's really annoying and if the devs struggle with it you'd think they would fix it! in rct3 there was an option to make the terrain rise or lower to the height of whatever you were placing why can't they add that in this? flatten to foundation doesn't seem to do anything it just makes it float ever more.

Well, in the meantime, I really give kudos to those workshop rides that come with a removable sign which shows a line to match with my "flat" terrain. Those are really helpful with large rides that have many underground items.

Hi everyone. This is annoying yes. A lot of the blueprints i share 'float' but i've come to realise that this only happens when certain objects are lowered enough below ground level such as certain walls or fences, even though i build all my blueprints on flat land. It's very annoying though i agree.

it does it with everything though i even downloaded a forest of trees and they all floated!

Sorry, but is it that difficult to just hold shift? I understand it can be a bit annoying but really....?
How spoiled can you be if such a little thing as pressing 1 simple key allready works on your nerves?

Can you not align to surface :P I havent missed the point, i get what you saying regarding the moving the terrain thing, but i agree somewhat with timechild, i dont see what the fuss is, hold shift and position it exactly how you want in terms of Z height.

But hey thats me lol.

i've downloaded blueprints and even after i'm sure i've aligned it to surface properly there were still stuff buried underground (like lights) which i had to move manually. so it doesn't matter what you do you always have to fiddle with it. so bp not only float but they bury stuff too...
