Not too helpful, but alright.
Thing is, I want to build my own, not just use other peoples work. I'm not that lazy.

There is no magic order of words that is going to help you learn experiance. No one here is going to be able to help you. You have to examine coasters guests like and figure out why. Compare them to your coasters and see whats different.
I get you, sorry if I seemed like an arse there, just a bit frustrated is all.
It is very important to make the landscape 100%.
Trigger, to get drunk. you will turn on BGM.
Number of passengers is not limited. Use the priority path.
Hopefully the rating will be over 500 or over 1000.
It is the case after that .... If you have purchased the Spooky Pack, a lot of passengers will come by just setting 'The Witch's Haunt' and setting the landscape to 100%. It is because it was originally completed.
Problem which I have is that I don't know how the game prioritize those factors which increase popularity.
To thrown some in the discussion here:
- ride length
- coasterstats: excitement / fear / nausea
- scenery
- ticket fee
- downtime
- ... anyone know maybe more?
My feeling is that at this moment scenery is on the top priority list and has most influence on ride popularity.
There is a blueprint out there: Thriller Tsunami (Schwarzkopf coaster)
When you download it and place it in your park you will notice all stats are in the red / orange. NOthing special you would say. Still this coaster can handle 4 even 5 trains and still the queu is full. Reason of that is the scenery I think.
Personally when I build a coaster I do pay attention to the stats though. More because I like the colour green I guess :) And mostly it will make the coaster popular enough to be profitable without any scenery.
However, a plain coaster without scenery, hmmmm... I dunno. It maybe is more fun to also build a nice coaster station right? :)
