- Building items (the ones that come with a grid) can not be rotated on all axis. All other items can be rotated freely.
- Anything that is merged/grouped as part of a building will no longer rotate on all axis unless selected individually within that group.
- Building objects can be rotated within a group by pressing Z.
Edit: Wall, Floor and Roof pieces are not interchangeable. You can't rotate a wall into a floor or vice versa.
how do i filter out items that come with grids.
just to be crystal clear here, youre saying that there is no way within the game, to rotate the selected piece, to be flat on top of these other pieces? no matter what i do, this isnt "user error"
are all floors "paths"
In the Building section, there is a small menu to the bottom left where you can filter things. Roof, Wall Signs, Door and Windows, Walls and Decorations.
Arches, Wall Pieces and Frameworks are all grid based. Some columns are part of the grid, some are not. None of the decorations, wall signs, doors or windows are part of the grid.
ok look
some of those grid based pieces are cocke eyed
and ive had some come out cocke eyed too
so i know there has to be some secret way to make items not all perpendicular.
i rewatched some vids that i could have swore had crooked objects, and i guess everything is pretty vertical, its just the twists of rides that make them appear to not be i think.
im still kind of baffled at some of these limitations. will have to completely rethink my building methods.
im used to the map builder in overgrowth, it allows for all items and groups or "buildings" to be rotated scaled, tiled skins so they dont get low res when you scale large, and such
Use the grided piece as a template, and build non-gridded pieces on top of it. Delete the gridded piece and you can frealy rotate the one you built. Its a PITA, but works.
Really dumb you cant freely rotate all pieces. And that you cant have a grid to build on for all pieces. Makes lining up stuff easier.
