weird snapping

i am unable to advanced move any buildings without it snapping to a 1m point, making it hard to make sure building are on ground. Also, the same is happening with the first building peice in a building. Can someone please help!!! i know it isn't supposed to work like this!
(this only happens when moving a building up and down)

Sounds like you have Global Vertical Snapping turned on.

Try Settings/Game and disable the option 'Global Vertical Snapping'. Don't forget to press 'apply' before clicking 'ok'.
