Problems building coasters
I've searched here and didn''t find what I was looking for but I'm aware I might have badly searched, anyway I've only played the game for a couple of days but found myself struggling with Rollercoasters.

A lot of times, the game won't let me build tracks and I just don't know why as they are no obstacles.

Here is a screenshot from oposite angles of my actual problem :

Picture of rollercoaster being built[img11.hostingpics.net].

Whatever I do, straightrack, up or downhill, the game won't let me build on specific "empty" locations for no reasons !
Or maybe there are, so please, help me them figure out.

it's too close to the ground that's why. try not to have the track hugging the ground too much.

Ok thanks. They should advice us of that via an infobox.

But I already had this problem with automatic tunnel on.

it's not going into the ground enough to trigger a tunnel when it's just skimming across the top of the ground the game doesn't like it. so always have you tracks slightly above the ground level.

Sorry to kinda mooch of this thread OP but i'm going to post a coaster problem i have.

Once i build a coaster i had made via blueprints it has green stats ater a test run. However once it goes live it's stats drop drasticly, excitment drops by 2 points and the Fear and Nausea values both go orange.

Block-sectioned coasters can do this for me. If the ride has to stop mid-run because the next section isn't clear, then the ratings go down. Also testing doesn't account for the long boarding time when the ride is open so it's possible for the coasters to do fine in test mode but have problems when opened. I usually take the easy route and just use one less train than the max allowed.

Also a blocked station can reduce the excitement rating. Doesn't explain though why the nausea goes up, that's a bit weird...

To the OP - Auto tunnel does not work if you are on a scenario which prevents using the terrain tool (button will be gray instead of blue) which i believe is the case for this level ( i think its the pit with the car ride through it)

LupisVolk - If it is an issue with block sections, nausea may change if the releasing speed is different than the train would have been going if it didnt stop. for example, using push tires at 4mph into block section that releases at 8mph. it would have raised fear and nausea potentially since it would be going faster. or perhaps the brakes stop the car too quickly?

They're getting sick of waiting in the coaster :steammocking:

Despite the fact if you build it right, the coaster will send the train into the station within seconds of arrival. I think they over did the block station excitement reduction a bit.

Ah okay. I do have a block station on said coaster.
To get back on topic, I have a question, is it possible that a coaster won't be built because it tracks interferes with decorations ?

Yes. Most guests generally don't like smacking into trees/rocks/buildings/etc. at high speed. :(
Seriously though, any obstructions will have to be (re)moved before placing down or designing a coaster.

Ok, then it's different than in RCT where builing coaster will automaticaly erase decorations.
I understand why they change it.
Thanks for your answers.
