right size for billboards

what´s the correct proportion of an image to fit the billboard and do not distort? thanks

I've been using 800px X 800px for planet coaster's 4m X 4m wall billboards. For the 8 x 4 screens use a ratio of 2:1 so 1600px X 800px should work fine and look tack sharp. You can even tile using this method. I havent tested the projector screens yet but i'll let you know what works best.

Link below for tiling. Made an image sized 2400 x 800. Saved it out as three images of 800 x 800. Tiled perfectly. Hope this helps.

The non-square boards appear to be 16:9, not 2:1.
