How Do I Rotate Building Objects!

I have a question I can't figure out how to rotate/flip building objects, saw a video on YouTube how to do it but the guy does video with no audio and no explaining controls to do it.

Ok i am Building an archway but it is wider then the two Castle Pointed half arches so i need to join them with the Castle arch support. The problem i am having is when i try to rotate the castle arch support and rotate it to a horizontal position i can't, it is normally in a vertical position.

I press the X button twice to get to the second rotation option and only the green circle for moving it appears, the Blue and red circle do not appear which means i can't rotate it from a vertical position to a horizontal position so it aligns with and connects the two Castle Pointed half arches.

I also noticed none of the building pcs allow me to rotate them on that second rotate option after using the X button, i only get the Green circle no red or blue rotation circle.

Am I missing something any suggestions?

hold Z to rotate

Building pieces cannot be rotated horizontally. There was a way to do this in the alpha I think, but it was patched as a bug. Maybe the video was from an Alpha? or they used the custom shapres in the scenary. The rectangles could be used a bit like walls.

Maybe that video was, well that sucks the matching pcs i need to finish my arch it won't let me position it properly to complete, why would they patch that, this is crazy I guess I can't finish my project.
