Where is the screen resolution file for Planet Coaster on the E drive?
Hey guys, got Planet Coaster and steam installed on the E drive because the C drive kept crashing our computing because of the space of other games.

I seem to be having a problem with the main menu screen resolution, it's all in a tight box, I can't revert or apply any changes anymore, I know there was a way to fix it on the C Drive, but where is this located on the E drive?
If anyone knows where, please let me know immediately, thankyou for your time.

To locate and fix your issue, by finding and renaming the file which contains the resolution and UI scale, follow these instructions;

- Open a new explorer window
- Paste the following address in the address bar: "%localappdata%\Frontier Developments\Planet Coaster\Config_Local" (without quotes)
- Locate the file with the screen resolution and UI scale
- Either edit the existing values in this file, or if you are unsure how to proceed, rename the file (add something like "old" to the file name). The game will generate a new file if you rename the current file.

Good luck!

I was able to find it on the C drive but it appears empty, E drive is different somehow.

I wish I didn't have to move the game to the E drive but I've looked in so many places on there but I still can't find it.

I really appreciate you helping Joel, I hope we can get this file located soon ^^

Copy & Paste the location that Joël gave you into the Windows Explorer address bar and press return:
%localappdata%\Frontier Developments\Planet Coaster\Config_Local

You need to either open GameLocal.config.xml with Notepad and set the "Scale" value back to 1.000000 or simply delete the file and it will regenerate.

For future reference it's not advisable to set this value below 0.7 or above 2.0

I don't understand, I'm sorry. Can't seem to locate them anywhere. I don't understand, where are the files located excatly, I'm so confused. Where to enable the hidden files??

The gamelocal.config.xml file seems to be empty. Nevermind, I have these files, game_localconfig, Graphics.config, PerformanceRating.config

Which file is it if I may ask? Is it the GameLocal.config file? Scailing, my maths was never good, I'm terrible at this, so I should delete the entire file then? xD

Just delete the entire file, it's the easiest option.

First you have to close the game. After that you’ll have to follow these instructions: https://support.frontier.co.uk/kb/faq.php?id=356
