Swinging boat?

I saw an article when the game was in alpha stating there would be a swinging boat ride (called Victory) in the game, but i can't find it anywhere. Am i missing something?

If you're playing Challenge Mode, then the ride may need to be researched before you can place it. If your playing in Career Mode, then either it needs to be researched or it's unavailable in the scenario you're playing in.

I'm playing Challenge but i've researched all the rides already. No swinging boat.
Has anyone here seen the ride in the game?

If your talking about the large pirate ship ride that swings back and forth, then yes it's in the game. However, I've only seen it in Sandbox Mode as I haven't played a single Challenge game long enough to research everything there is. I'm not entirely sure, but I think you have to wait until certain game years for some items to become available for research, so a new ride might not be available for research immediately after the last ride finishes being researched.

Yes, that's the one i'm talking about. In the research tab i only have the option to research coasters now. The icons for thrill rides or family rides are not there anymore (guess because i researched them all). Maybe the ride is not available in Challenge mode, but that's strange.

What's the name of the ride? Did you have to research it?

It's called "Victory" and I have used it several times in sandbox and have gotten it in research on the captain Lockjaw challenge.

OK, i got it. It finally showed up on research after some in-game years, lol.

^^ So I guess this holds to be true. Good to know, because I was kind of curious myself if that's how research worked. Enjoy your ship! :)

Yeah, as my park is a pirate themed park i never thought a pirate ship ride could take years to show up on research (should be one of the first IMO). Specially after passing 2 years without a single family ride to discover. Go figure.
