Pirate Cove Help

I've been going back and forth between working on the scenarios and working on my own sandbox park. I'm doing the third pirate challenge, pirate cove, and I am having an exceedingly difficult time making money. I've tried three different ways: starting with a coaster, starting with a couple thrill rides and trying to build my own coaster with the one they give you. In each attempt, I fail miserably at making any sort of money. I've even tried using Priority Passes. Anyone have any tips or suggestions?

Really not a good example though, everything is too spread out, but then there are 1000 guests, so they can walk a bit.

ok so I went through it again to familiarize myself with the scenario.
1. Close down all shops, toilets, services, fire uneeded extra janitor.
2. put down 3 rides; viking ship, wild blue, kick flip.
3. put down some cheap scenery.
4. wait for money to start coming in, put down another flat ride(I went with psychola)
5. as money comes in start building small coaster.
6. pay off loan, complete scenario.

YAY! I DID IT! I actually needed a second coaster cuz the highest I got with just one was 3800; thankfully I had a couple small coasters in my blueprints I coud just plop down.

Old thread but how come you closed down shops and services ? are these not money makers too ?

Yes, shops can make money, however I found that in this scenario people aren't using the shops as much, so closing them down can make you extra cash. If the scenario takes you too long, you can open them back up for a bit when people start to compain about not having them, they'll rush the shops making you money and then you can shut them down again to save.

Just starting playing myself. I discovered that the default 1/2 load option for rides, like the Tea Cups and the Rocktopus, often means that rides start when they aren't fully loaded yet. Even though the Queue is still full. When I set the Rides to Full Load money came pouring in easily.

Should help a lot, as it says you can finish more rides and pay your loan off.
