How do I raise a ride before I place it?

Been a while since I played, I forgot how to do it.

Hold shift :)

[Toe Cutter]

holding shift and then the mouse wheel raises or lowers the height, or for some things you can hit "x" to go into advanced move where it gives you arrows on the screen that you can use to adjust things like height, rotation, etc.
