Connecting Two Workshop Monorail Stations
So, I've been rather enamoured by adding monorail to my parks, but the biggest issue I'm running into so far is that while there are splendid Monorail stations in the Workshop, I'm having an absolute brainbuster of a time figuring out how to connect them.

I know how to build multiple stations on one line using the building tool, but that doesn't help when I got two separate stations from Workshop that I want to connect on the same line. Is this possible? Or is this something I'll just have to wait on implementation?

I've searched through both forums here and on PC, but can't seem to get one that gives a straight answer.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Just speculation, but I doubt the game will allow you to combine 2 workshop blueprints together even if they are the same type of monorail station. I believe the game will treat it as 2 separate buildings, and there's no way to combine them into 1 as far as I know. I could be wrong, as I've never tried, but I kind of doubt it.

I never build a monorail but with trains it act the same way I guess. I solved it by picking the station I want, than put it on free place at the park and remove the rail with the train. Now you have only the building itself and make a blueprint from that. Delete the build. You now have to build to your own station and put the desired monorail building over it till it fits.

I tried that a few times, but getting that setup exactly right can be a true pain.

Try using advanced move. It allows you to get better precision with the station. Of course, if the station was an old beta or alpha build, it may not even be valid anymore.

You're basically adding two self-contained "buildings" onto the map and trying to connect them. That almost definitely won't work.

But what you can do is place the first blueprint down and use that as your monorail. When you place the second blueprint down in another section of the park, remove the station and track attached to that blueprint. Then run the track from the original blueprint *through* the empty slot in the second blueprint.

That will solve the problem, since the game will see it as the continuation of the same track, instead of two different tracks. (Even if they're the same kind of rail.)

It might require some finessing to pull it off, and you're going to have to go into building edit mode to do it, but you're going to have to become familiar and comfortable with editing buildings anyway to really get the most out of the game and your own parks.

Good luck, please let me know if this works for you. Cheers.

You can't combine 2 train rides into one even if they are the same ride.
Pick one of the train rides. Delete the other.
The run the ride you saved over through the other station.
Move the track. Move the station. Play around until it lines up.

another stupid game mechanic proving the game devs are only good graphic desiners. if you build an amazing train station, you should be able to copy it, and connect the rails to the other station

To be clear, are the Stations you are placing complete with a track already?
If yes then all of the above.
If no then turn off all the collision options in settings.

That closed as it is 4 years old.
